Many individuals that venture into internet marketing tend to give up very easily. They will try an online business opportunity for a couple of months, and if they do not make money within this short time, they quit, and try another online business opportunity. Thus, they have lost their investment in money, time and efforts on their first online business opportunity.

Yes...I would definitely encourage anyone to establish multiple streams of income through a portfolio of carefully selected online business opportunities, but I suggest that you move to your next business opportunity only after you have recovered your initial investment in the previous business, have established a good team, and then you can leverage off the efforts of your team.
